A field guide to what grows at your place — not somewhere else.

Support

Write to hello@gardnery.com. That is the whole support system: one person, one mailbox, usually answered within a few days. There is no ticket number, no chatbot and no account to sign in to — Gardnery has no accounts at all.

What Gardnery does

You give Gardnery a postcode. It places that postcode in an Australian climate zone using the National Construction Code climate zone map, and shows you the months a published source records for a crop in that zone — with the source named, linked, and dated to the day we read it.

It also keeps a list of what you have planted, in up to three beds, and puts your own plantings first when you open it.

What Gardnery does not do

It does not generate a sowing window. If no source in the app records one for a crop in your zone, it says so instead of inventing one. That refusal is the product working, not a fault to report.

It does not cover Australia evenly. Some climate zones carry a handful of crops, and some windows are marked approximated — meaning the check against independent Australian guides could not confirm them, and the app is telling you rather than hiding it. The store listing carries the counts, zone by zone.

It is not advice. Gardnery gives general gardening information for Australian home gardens. It is not professional horticultural, agronomic or property advice. Conditions at your place — frost, soil, aspect, wind, elevation and the season’s weather — can and do differ from any published zone. See the disclaimer.

Backing up and moving your garden

Everything you enter — your postcode, your beds, your plantings — is stored on your device. We never receive it, so we cannot restore it for you. Keep your own copy:

  1. Open About, and find Your garden data.
  2. Tap Export my garden. Gardnery writes one file and hands it to your phone’s usual share sheet — save it wherever you keep things you would miss.
  3. On the new phone, install Gardnery, open About and tap Restore from a file. It replaces what is on that device with the file, and tells you what it read before it changes anything.

Your phone’s own operating-system backup may also include Gardnery’s saved settings, the same as any other app — but treat the export file as the copy you control. Deleting the app deletes what is on the device.

Reporting a planting window that looks wrong

Please do. A window we cannot stand behind is worth more to us as a correction than as a five-star rating.

Every window in Gardnery carries a source note: on the crop page, the months are shown with the publication they came from, and About lists every source and the licence it is used under. That note is what makes a report actionable, so tell us:

  1. the crop and the postcode you were looking at;
  2. the source name and date shown against the window in the app;
  3. whether the window was marked approximated;
  4. what you believe is right, and — if you have one — the published source that says so.

Send that to hello@gardnery.com. If a record turns out to be wrong we withdraw it rather than quietly adjusting it, and the app stops showing it in the next release.

Nothing is on sale

This version of Gardnery is a free preview. There is nothing to buy inside the app: My Garden, the list of what you have planted, is free while the preview runs. The store billing libraries are in the build but idle — the app makes no purchase call at all.

If that changes and you are ever charged, refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, not by us: request one from Apple or Google, and if a store declines and you believe the Australian Consumer Law says you are owed a remedy, write to hello@gardnery.com and we will take it up. The detail is on the refunds page.

Privacy, in one line

No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and Gardnery’s own code makes no network request. The full statement is in the privacy policy.
