Refunds

Last updated 6 September 2026

My Garden is not on sale, no subscription is offered in the current version of the app, and no payment is collected on this site. Any figure you have seen on the waitlist page or in the app is a planned price for a subscription that does not yet exist; when it goes on sale, the price you are charged is the one your store shows you at the moment of purchase. Joining the waitlist does not create a purchase, a subscription, or a charge. This page describes how refunds will work when the subscription is available.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights come first

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. If the app fails one of those guarantees you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund — and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss — depending on whether the failure is major. That is the law, and it applies whatever the stores’ own policies say.

Who takes the payment, and who gives the refund

When My Garden is available it is sold only as an in-app subscription through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Those companies take the payment and hold the billing relationship, so a charge on your card is reversed through them and not by us — we never see a card number and have no way to refund one. That is a fact about who holds the money, not a limit on your rights: your Australian Consumer Law remedies are set out above and stand whatever the stores decide.

If a store declines and you believe you have an Australian Consumer Law right to a remedy, write to us at hello@gardnery.com. We will take it up on your behalf and, where the store will not act and the law says you are owed a remedy, we will make it right directly.

Cancelling is not the same as a refund

Cancelling in Google Play or the App Store stops the next renewal. The subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and no money comes back automatically. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

What you keep either way

Nothing you entered is ever deleted because a subscription ended. Your plantings, beds, past entries and settings stay on your device, and the daily answer, every plant page, the evidence behind it, one bed and exporting your own data are free and stay free.
